Cable network Egypt (CNE) is a shareholder company incorporated in 1991 as the first Pay-TV project in the Arab world by the Egyptian radio and television union (ERTU) in cooperation with shareholders of private sector.


The foundation of the company was made under the Egyptian investment law related to the Arab and foreign capital investment and free zones systems; the capital of the company is seventy million Egyptian pounds.

 

CNE, with its sister companies, Media City, NileSat located in Free Media Zone at 6th Oct city, can help you with production, encryption, transmission and distribution of your services.
 

CNE has great experience and knowledge on encryption technologies, subscriber management systems and terrestrial transmission, as well as operating DTH system on the Egyptian satellites NileSat101.


The encryption technology used to-date is Irdeto technology. Other encryption technologies will be used in SimulCrypt platform with Irdeto technology in the near future.


CNE services will be expanded to include interactive applications, such as education programs, home shopping and banking...etc. Internet services will also be a part of CNE activities.
